Need to understand metal better?

Do you have a roof leak or think you have storm damage on your metal roof?

When you have damage or just a leak starting to a metal roof it is best to first understand your metal roof system how it works!

Roof metal panels are made of either aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper or alloy. If you pick aluminum or copper these systems can last over 75 years or more! These metal panels have several different options, different coatings for durability or just to offer more of a variety of colors. The metal manufacturers have their own sizes, colors and styles to choose from. Roofing Experts is approved to install all of the available manufacturers, that have product approvals in the State of Florida.

How its installed

During installation these systems are usually rolled on site for proper length and to prevent oil canning. Metal Roof Systems are attached mechanically (nails or screws) with or without clips which are the preferred method of attachment in Florida. Our technicians are certified by these manufacturers to ensure the system is install correctly and most of all meeting manufacturer specifications, which this makes it possible for our well-trained roof technicians, to make necessary repairs on your existing roof?

When the metal panels are installed, they are first installed by local building codes. Now with Roofing Experts all of our roofs are installed according to Miami-Dade Building Codes to ensure that your roof is installed using the maximum technology and following HVHZ or High Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements...

High Velocity Hurricane Zone

HVHZ is very important when installing your roof in Florida or even along the coast. By installing HVHZ, what does it really mean? Well it means the number of attachment locations or what type or size of screw is used to attach to the sheathing; this makes all the difference based on the manufacturers testing with Florida Product Approval Testing. Which this also ncludes the highest UL Rating for your roof. Please refer to our HVHZ page or our Product Approval page for further information on these important factors to look for.
